Self driving trucks and drones. Not fantastic now!

 Nowadays, technological development is at quick pace, pushing back all limits, modifies ways of leading business worldwide. Age of Internet and digital devices is dictating the rules which we cannot fight. People tend to all spheres of their life till convenient online usage and being immediately accessed at any time. Technological progress without any doubt brought in considerable improvements into supply chain ensuring cost saving and reducing mistakes ratio. Entire transport logistics industry is being positively affected by technological evolution: international transportation by sea and air both, deliveries by trucks, tracking of shipments and supply chain management in total. Innovations in these spheres are changing Future of logistics organization and fulfillment considerably.

Nowadays, it is not fantastic book anymore to be moved from one location to another one or to receive parcel by means of computer operated air vehicle. This is where we are actually reaching step by step. There is not eternity left to wait when the idea of autonomous trucks will come into real life. Meanwhile such companies as Uber and Embark already have done breakthrough with real transportation using such trucks. We are not speaking about truck operated completely without driver. He still will be present in vehicle but his functions will be concentrated on monitoring the computer for driving the truck. Even though trucks were not completely driverless, such inventions mark huge success in improving efficiency of logistics transportation process. Tesla also is going to release such truck this year.

Worthy to note that drone deliveries are also not far off. Amazon Company made an announcement about planning to perform delivery of parcels by means of drones and straightly to your door. This project is named Amazon Prime Air. This sounds quite attractive not to wait for hours for the package being delivered.  But these plans are still under development due to some regulations and cost management.
